Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Use of Google Analytics
Abandoned Cubicle uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses “cookies”. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer. Cookies enable an analysis of your use of this website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for up to one year.
The information about your use of this website, generated by the cookie, is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Note that IP anonymization is activated on this Website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting member states of the European Economic Area.
You can prevent the storage of cookies and prevent the capture of data generated by the cookie (including your IP address). Download and install the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Only in certain, exceptional cases will your complete IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and to provide further services connected with website use and internet use for the website operator.
The IP address transmitted from your browser within Google Analytics is not connected with other data from Google.
Abandoned Cubicle anonymizes IP addresses with its use of Google Analytics. This ensures that IP addresses are shortened in form, which excludes the possibility of personal attribution. Any personal connection to the data collected about you will, as a result, be immediately excluded and all personal data will be immediately deleted.
We use Google Analytics to analyze the use of Abandoned Cubicle and regularly improve it. For the exceptional cases in which personal data are transmitted to the USA, Google has committed itself to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Article 6 Section (1)(f) of the GDPR.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
